<p><font color="#000000">A novidade foi apresentada na feira FPD Internacional 2007, que acontece no Japão.</font></p>
<p><font color="#000000">O protótipo, de apenas 4 polegadas, pode ser manipulado de forma flexível e prática, sem danos ao aparelho. A resolução de 480 x 272 pixels e contraste de 1.000:1 é realmente muito boa tratando-se de um protótipo. Pelos vistos… teremos TV&#8217;s que se “enrolam” em breve.</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:'Times New Roman','serif';">É apenas um quiosque, mas pretende ser a porta de entrada para 600 museus e laboratórios de vários cantos do mundo. Chama-se Try Science e, desde Outubro, que está a funcionar no Pavilhão do Conhecimento, Lisboa.<br />

</span>O Try Science é um projecto iniciado pela IBM em parceria com o New York Hall of Science. O projecto começou com o desenvolvimento de um <em>site</em> que permite o acesso a conteúdos didácticos, experiências laboratoriais e <em>webcams</em> que operam, em tempo real, em múltiplos centros museológicos.<br />

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:'Times New Roman','serif';">Além do <em>site</em> (<a href="http://www.tryscience.org/pt/home.html">www.tryscience.org</a>), o Try Science passou a estar disponível em espaços públicos, com o desenvolvimento de um quiosque multimédia (com um computador incorporado).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:'Times New Roman','serif';">A chegada de um desses quiosques a Portugal resulta de uma parceria da IBM com o Pavilhão do Conhecimento e o programa Ciência Viva e pode abrir caminho à instalação de quiosques noutros pontos do País, bem como da participação de unidades museológicas nacionais: «Estamos a fazer o levantamento de necessidades tanto do ponto de vista da investigação e ensino como do ponto de vista comercial. Prevemos dar a resposta adequada a estímulos ou solicitações, com vista à integração destes quiosques noutros museus e pontos de acesso à Net», prevê Conceição Zagalo, directora da Divisão de Comunicações e Programas Externos da IBM.</span></p>
